ARY Place is the R Street Corridor’s newest apartment project consisting of 159 affordable housing units and 11,200 SF of ground floor commercial uses. Located between 17th Street and 18th Street on the north side of S Street to Rice Alley, ARY Place is one of the largest affordable housing apartments in the Central City. The seven-story project has many on site amenities including a community lounge, fitness center and rooftop patio deck.  Surrounding ARY Place is the R Street Market shopping center consisting of a full service Safeway grocery store, Panda Express, UPS Store, a dental office, and other neighborhood retail businesses.  Also next store to the project is the Ice Blocks, a mixed use development center with offices, apartments, and some of the most popular retail businesses in Sacramento including Mendocino Farms, See’s Candy, Salt and Straw, Pure Barre, Strapping Store, Shake Shack, and Beast and Bounty.  The 16th Street Light Rail Station is a 5-minute walk away as is a number of Regional Transit bus lines.
